Kelly's in the O.C.

The owner of Kelly's Bleachers bars wants to open a new establishment at the former Ray Bussler's, 10276 S. 27th St. Karlis A. Vecitis has plans to remodel much of the building for a bar and restaurant. The east end of the building would get demolished and a new addition would house a kitchen, restrooms and bar areas. The plans already came before the Oak Creek Plan Commission, but commissioners said they wanted to see architects upgrade the building's exterior design. The item was held over and will be discussed again at the Tuesday, Oct. 23 commission meeting. Vectis wants to add an outdoor patio with a stone wall around it, refinish the building exterior with cement board siding, repave the parking lot, replace the gravel with greenspace and add a volleyball court east of the building. The 1.2 acre site has been vacant for a few years, city staff said. Kelly's Bleachers bars already operate on Blue Mound Road in Milwaukee and in Wind Lake.
