One quick Brewer post before we start the Packer draft analysis week. Honestly, after watching Vargas pitch this April, I can't figure out how he gets it done. I sat there and watched him strike out 11 guys against the Pirates, including three straight after loading the bases. And today against the 'stros, he loads the bases three straight innings and works out of it? He could easily have lost us three of his last three starts, and yet the Crew won all three. I guess that's the life of the 5th starter. Its a good thing he has Charlie Villanueva to bail him out.
Quick April recap:
Four home series, I have attended one game of each and obtained a Game Day Program. Overall record is 2-2, 1-1 in games with Tim, 2-0 on weekday games, 0-2 on Friday Retro games, and 0-1 on games where I tailgated with the opposition.
My Brewers Top 5 has changed to the following:
Hardy (was not listed)
Cordero (was 4)
Capuano (was not listed)
Fielder (was 2)
Jenkins (was 3)
Players that fell off: Weeks (get on base) & Estrada (what was I thinking?)

I'd like to think he's better than the Vampire. It's been kind of flukey that's he had so many baserunners compared to runs scored, I think it shows he could handle a bullpen spot well in the playoffs
I'd put Ned Yost in the top 5.
Yost is probably above a listing on the top 5 at this point. 16-9 and going strong.
