So who are we supposed to believe?

So the Badgers (football) are #7 in the AP and #5 in the USA Today. I am confused. I always joke about the fact that the USA today is just a headline paper with no substance, but I assumed it was still part of the AP? They have their own poll? Oh wait, the USA Today is also the "Coaches poll", but which team do they coach? So who are we supposed to believe, the coaches or the press? Even though Nick Saban proved coaches cannot be trusted, I am going to have to side with them over the AP. I mean, isn't their whole goal simply to give as many terrorists as they can the top secret information that is posted on the internet and in public libraries? Also, Boise is not even a state, don't they receive some kind of demerit for that?

But then I get to the basketball rankings, and those Badgers are #3 in the AP and #4 in the USA Today/Coaches poll. What gives? The AP let me down above, and then pulled through here?

Regarding the football Badgers, I would feel they should have been ranked #6 in both polls as Boise State does deserve to be in the Top 5 since they are the only undefeated team in the BSC Division (the division formerly known as Division I, what is up with that?). Louisville is a tough one for me to swallow being ranked ahead of the Badgers, I mean they beat a perennial doormat (Wake Forest) who happened to have the once in a century type of season and play in the Big East.

As for the basketball Badgers I would have liked to see them be #3 in both polls, but I believe if the Badgers beat Ohio State, they should leap frog Florida since I really don't know who they beat that was a solid team besides Ohio State.

Can't argue with how the polls ended up. It was really worse case scenario for the Badgers because of Michigan and OSU stinking it up. Add in that Arkansas dropped their last 2 games coming in, so even that win was undervalued.

I was thinking that they'd be a shoo-in for top 5-8 next year, but the journal sentinel is saying top 15. That's BS.
