Brewers Win

Their first intrasquad game!

I'm just gonna keep blogging with the hope that one day you guys will find the 1-minute it takes to write a sentence.

In other news the Packers signed Jenkins to a 4-year contract extension. Now that's a platoon, take that Kevin Mench!

Sorry Tim. I had a broken windshield this weekend, again, so I did not have much to say.

This was a huge win for the Crew. I mean, winning the first game of the year sets the tone. Do you think had Mench not been "hurt" that he would have played LF directly next to Jenkins and only fielded the flyballs hit by left handed pitchers?

I am a big fan of the Jenkins signing and assume that Mench saw it in the news and called his agent immediately, but that was way overshadowed by the bone chip surgery press release.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I was going to create a post tonight after work, likely on the Badgers, the Baseball 4x5 Pack, or phrases that can be labeled as "Nut Crackers" (i.e. Your eyes are beautiful, they remind me of my ex-girlfriend's), but since you beat me to the punch, I did not want to "move your" cut and paste from jsonline photo, which is awesome, down on the blog until the cool down period has occurred.

I just read on JSOnline that catcher Damian Miller suffered a strained left calf Tuesday and probably will miss a few days of workouts. I hope this injury is not a sign of what is to come this season for the Brewers as I really would like to see the streak of 14 straight season at or below .500 come to an end.

C'mon, thats just the stress talking. Damien Miller getting hurt means Rivera will have less competion for the backup catcher role. This is similar to the Packers signing a free agent tight end who is good, and then Bubba Franks suffering a bruised thigh in a minicamp. I'm not worried. Miller is old, he will get hurt. That means he is working hard to compete for his job.
