NFL - Coach of the Year

I just got done reading a small blurb on ESPN.com about how Bill Bill Belichick was awarded the Coach of the Year award in the NFL by the Associated Press. I believe Belichick deserves the award after being the first coach in the era of a 16-game regular season to go undefeated. I was surprised that he only received 29 of the 50 votes cast.

The reason I clicked on the article was to see how bad our beloved Packers Head Coach, Mike McCarthy did in the voting. I was happy to see the media give him some respect by receiving 15 of the 50 votes cast for NFL - Coach of the Year. I agree with Pelsi's comment that in any other year, McCarthy would have been Coach of the Year.

I wish they would publish the lists of who voted for whom as well, so these different sportswriters could be individually asked to defend their selection for all kinds of things, like Top 25 college football and basketball polls, rookie of the year voting, etc. That way we could figure out why a sportswriter would cast votes for crazy things like, why the Swedish hockey team is ranked number one in the world in men's hockey.

Since McCarthy did not CHEAT, he should win the award since Belichick should not be eligible since he CHEATED. Obviously 31 of the voters felt the same way, and 15 of these 31 are smart.
