Just for fun

I am sure Tim has sent this more than once, but it just never gets old. I am sure that the holder was fully prepared to make a play on a bad snap, granted he would not have been awarded the 2 points at this point in time (Tim, correct me if I am wrong). Best hold, ever. Eat that Romo.

Lazy Days

If you have not already received my e-mail. In the past few weeks I was approached by two of my former supervisors about a position at M&I in their Corporate Accounting Department to be the lead stock option accountant. Since the position I was posting for had been open for three months and the employee I am replacing is retiring. I put a salary request that was pretty high, 20% increase from my current salary, and they gave it to me.

So I quit my job this past Monday and my boss told me they have this policy where people with access to sensitive information have to leave the company the day they announce. The company also has a policy that you must give two-weeks notice when you terminate your employment with the company. So, what ended up happening is I left the day I announced my resignation and the company has to pay me for two more weeks.

Ergo - I have a two-week paid vacation from an employer I no longer work for. I imagine this is Pelsi's dream to get paid for doing nothing!

R13

"I wanted to dump it to someone, that's what the play's designed to do," Favre said. "I think (running less often) is two things. I don't trust my legs as much. I know I can and occasionally when I do run people say, 'You still can run, you need to do more of that.' But it's much easier to go to Donald Driver on a two-yard pass, and he makes eight guys miss and gets five more (yards), I don't think I'm going to do that. I feel confident I can buy enough time and someone will get open, especially when you're down there on the 1, it's easy to just pop a guy real quick. I kind of got to my last option and knew I only needed a yard."

After the score, Favre executed what he said was his first Lambeau Leap.

"I don't think I've ever done one, but I hope that's the last one," Favre said. "Donald (Driver) provoked me. I was actually coming off the field and he was kind of one of these in my way and 'Oh, no, you're going.' I wish he had given me a boost. I'm going to catch heat for this until the next game, but I should have found a lower spot. I'm not real savvy in the stands-jumping department, not to mention that I was pooped."

R4 ('Nuff Said)

Goodbye #427

With potentially 6 TD's coming in the first half Vs. the Viqueens, I really wonder what numbers we will be seeing in 2 weeks Vs. Carolina.

I like these blog topics, but I also like moving one of the pictures off. The reason I enjoy moving one, is that even though we can enjoy the history that Brett Favre has brought us, I think the blogs better use is forward thinking. Like Tim's blogs about future playoff's and my peskyness in potentially moving other pictures off.

Great job guys during my absence. Looking forward to future pictures. Go Pack.

Oh, nice win last night by the Bucks. Who was that Team???

Eff the Big Ten

Hey

My new way to deal with Big Ten Network is this:

Everytime the UW Foundation calls me asking for a handout to "save the University from financial peril", I say "Eff Off, go get my contribution from your Big Ten Network".

Anyone who tries to rationalize that this is really the cable company's fault is kidding themselves. The Big Ten wants to eat into the profits that the networks (ABC, ESPN) were making off them, but they need to be in the same package tier of at least ESPN to get enough cash from their advertisers. This is just greed, and nothing more. The Big Ten wants more money, and the Networks have leverage with the Cable Companies and thus are really the ones pressing the cable companies not to give the Big Ten or the NFL Network any sort of preference in attempt to kill the channel before it gets off the ground. If UW really cared about the fans, they would have found a way to show the games, not just write letters to the papers blaming Charter and Time Warner (thanks Barry, you are a real D-bag).

I would rather not watch the game than watch the Big Ten Network.
